As part of the SETC Social Entrepreneurship Project, EIU team, Beyond Orphans comprising EIU students Mira Monla, Doha Merhi and Jihane Obeid - organized a memorable Fun & Care Day for 27 orphans, between the ages of 6 and 10, on August 6.2026. The event was organized in collaboration with Al Ribat Association, Al-Shabab Al-Watani Scouts and the National Women’s Union, whose contributions were invaluable in making the day a great success.
With the generous support of Azm School, transportation was arranged to safely accompany the children throughout the day, starting from the Ribat Association Center in Baddawi towards Nawfal Palace in Tripoli, the main event venue kindly offered by the Municipality of Tripoli. From more than 3 hours, the children joyfully participated in a variety of fun and educational activities, including interactive games and memory challenges designed to spark both learning and laughter. At the end of the session, each child proudly received a certificate of participation—an uplifting souvenir that recognized their involvement and achievements.
Afterwards, the children were brought to the Ibn Sina Health Center, where they were given basic medical check-ups along with an engaging awareness session on personal health and well-being. The day concluded with a warm group lunch at Al-Faysal Restaurant-Mina, where the children enjoyed a hearty meal in a joyful and welcoming atmosphere.
After thoughtful preparation and coordination with our partners, this unique event proved truly rewarding—not only in the smiles and happiness of the children but also in the heartfelt praise expressed by the Director of Al-Ribat Association, who recognized the project’s meaningful impact on the lives of the young participants. This experience was a touching reminder of the power of teamwork, dedication, and community support.
Together, we were able to bring joy, care, and hope into the lives of children who need it most—an inspiring social impact that continues to motivate us to do more.
